Summary:
Nayuta takes control of more people and causes mass conflict around Denji to get away. However, after using three chains, he realizes that he cannot send any more and asks Fumiko for help. Fumiko, nervous at first, smiles and says she’s leaving. Confused, Nayuta asks the self-confessed “fan” why he won’t help, to which he says that her priority is public safety work, so it’s not part of her job. He wishes her luck on her mission, even as the young devil asks her for help once again, saying that her family just died. The Public Safety agent mockingly asks her if they were just pets before leaving.
The crowd begins to realize that the devil is affecting their sense of reason, but Barem crawls up to Nayuta, calls out to the crowd, and reveals that Nayuta is the culprit. The civilians point out that Nayuta is just a child, but the older woman who was first controlled by Nayuta snaps out of her stupor and points out that she called the chainsaw man her family. A member of the crowd says that kids who are Chainsaw Man fans are killing their parents, though he couldn’t cite a source when asked how he learned this. Nayuta hijacks his mind and uses it to carry Denji to safety. Speaking through the man’s body, she remarks to Denji about how he thought he didn’t need her help before turning back to the crowd. Glad to finally be alone, she goes on a killing spree, but quickly realizes that she doesn’t find murdering people fun. She dodges several spear attacks and one of them scratches her shoulder. Telling the crowd to stand back as she is still a child, she turns her head to see Barem now holding a gun towards her.
