Summary:
The chapter picks up right where the previous left off, with Denji and Power facing off against Aki’s father, Makima. Still holding the Force hostage, Makima uses her powers to keep Denji at bay.
Denji is determined to save the Force, but knows he can’t do it alone. He calls out to Aki for help, and Aki responds by transforming into his evil form, Pochita. Pochita is able to break through Makima’s defenses and he attacks her with a powerful energy blast.
Makima is knocked back, but she’s not out of the fight yet. He uses his powers to create a barrier around himself and begins attacking Denji and Pochita with a barrage of energy blasts. Denji and Pochita are able to avoid most of the blasts, but they begin to be overwhelmed.
Just when all hope seems lost, Denji remembers something Aki told him. Aki told Denji that he was the only one who could protect the Force and that he had to be strong enough to do so. Taking a deep breath, Denji gathers his strength and releases a powerful blast of his own.
The blast hits Maki square in the chest and knocks her out of the barrier. Denji and Pochita manage a few more hits on her and eventually manage to defeat her.
When Makima is defeated, Denji and Pochita are able to save the Force. Power is happy to be free and hugs Denji tightly. Denji is happy that he saved Power and knows he will never let her go again.
The chapter ends with Denji and Power walking away hand in hand. They are finally freed from Makima’s control and can start rebuilding their lives.
