The Chainsaw Man anime is now making its way through its debut anime season in the fall, and the latest episode of the series introduced two main faces that we will see in action for the rest of the series, Aki Hayakawa and Power! The first episode of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga series focused on introducing fans to the protagonist, Denji, who has lived such a rough life that the fact that he became a devil at the end of the premiere is actually the beginning. about a much better life than ever before.

Episode 2 of Chainsaw Man’s debut season picks up right after Makima recruits Denji for Public Safety’s Devil Hunters, revealing more of those already working with the organization. Here, Denji meets two members of his unit (which is revealed to be very unique from other devil hunting units), Aki, who will guide him on missions, and Fiend, a Force that shares many demonic and human characteristics as Denji but is a much different entity than he.

Who are Aki and Power?

Aki and Power are the other two members of the Special Division 4 Public Security Devil Extermination Unit. It’s explained that Denji and Power are both on this team without really many other options. If Denji refused to join this team, he would be marked for death just like any other fiend, and is still marked for death while on the field for future missions should he get out of control. The Force is in the same boat as she is a Fiend (which is a devil that takes over a corpse), but her high level of rationality means that she is useful for devil hunters.

Denji clearly already had a rough first impression of Aki when they first met (Aki tried to get Denji to stop or he would probably lose his life in a future fight), but Denji quickly embraced the Force because he liked her chest. . Through meeting these two, we got to see more sides of Denji because he’s not really used to dealing with other people that way. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how the three fight their way through the rest of the first season.
