 Summary:

Sitting next to a group of clashing protesters, Yoshida explains that one group of protesters is demanding that the Chainsaw Devil be treated like any other devil and be defeated, while the other group are members of the Chainsaw Man Church. Denji notes that it’s quite nice to have people fighting over him, before Yoshida explains that while the Church was originally only made up of die-hard fans and victims of the devil, now it’s mostly made up of high schoolers who don’t know any better. Additionally, with students soon eligible to vote, politicians began funding the church for their own gain, with Yoshida stating that Denji was no longer in full control of his own image. To prevent the likelihood of widespread riots, he offers Denji an ultimatum; live life as a civilian or have Nayuta executed.
Yoshida tries to lure Denji into the former by remarking that an ordinary life was all he ever wanted and nothing about his civilian life would change. Denji refuses, saying that he wants to have it both ways because being a chainsaw makes people pay attention to him. Yoshida repeats that Public Security would execute Nayuta if he refused, with Denji repeating that he likes the protesters fighting each other in his name. As Yoshida tries to warn him, Denji tries to get his fans to kill him for him, only to hear Nayuta calling out from the crowd. As the two embrace, Yoshida chides Nayuta’s handler for revealing her too soon before telling Denji that he was about to let him go. Hearing the threat to her life, Nayuta asks Denji to tell them to get the hell out, saying they both leave right after, leaving Yoshida to wonder if Denji understood what he meant.
